Dr Virginia Button is a writer, curator and academic consultant based in Cornwall. She has written extensively on modern and contemporary British art and is the author of The Turner Prize (1997, 5th revised edition 2007), Christopher Wood (2003), Ben Nicholson (2007), social systems, exh. cat., ProjectBase, Cornwall (2007), St Ives Artists: A Companion (2009) and Lucian Freud (2015).
